A recent graduate of New York University's Master of Film Scoring program, Tristan Pirak approaches composing through an eye for drama. Every piece, whether abstract or programmatic, has a story to tell, and this made his transition into film scoring a relatively easy one.
Over the past ten years, Tristan has scored four films, two of which, "Dark Exposures" and " Dear Mr. Gore," have been screened internationally. He also has written scores for stage, including a theatrical adaptation of "Frankenstein" performed by Bishop Blanchet High School in the fall of 2010.
A songwriter as well as composer, Tristan embraces all forms and styles of music, and believes that all are equally viable.
